Discontinued Product Support
Goldstar Software can often provide technical support for older Btrieve databases,
including Btrieve 5.x for DOS and Windows, Btrieve 6.10 for NetWare, and Btrieve 6.15 for DOS, Windows, Windows
95/NT, Windows NT Server, and NetWare. We can also provide support for Pervasive.SQL 7 Pervasive.SQL 2000/2000i, Pervasive.SQL V8,
Pervasive PSQL v9, Pervasive PSQL Summit v10, and Pervasive PSQL v11 releases. Each of these
products is no longer supported by Actian Corporation (formerly known as Pervasive Software), yet many sites still run mission-critical
applications based on these engines.
While it is certainly likely that a database upgrade is really the best option to resolve problems, it is sometimes
not possible to do so in a timely manner. And, problems DO occur in existing software which need to be addressed swiftly.
So, if you have urgent issues with your old, outdated software, Goldstar Software may be able to help you to get past them within the current environment.
Be aware, though, that some problems (especially with newer operating systems) can only be addressed by a database upgrade, since there is no way to modify the existing,
unsupported database engines or components.
For the cheapest support options, we recommend posting your questions on the Actian DevTalk forums at https://communities.actian.com/s/.
These forums are supported by many people in the PSQL community from around the world with wide ranging areas of expertise. If you don't get a reply there,
you can also send us your questions via e-mail to the user "Support" at goldstarsoftware.com. If you are just
looking for patches for 6.10 or 6.15, you can also check our Btrieve 6.x mirror page.
If you must have a more timely response, you can contact us directly for telephone support. However, as we are often working
in the field, you may only get our voice-mail system, so please use E-mail if possible. Phone support
time is considered billable at the current support rates, and may require that a Customer Data Sheet and
Terms & Conditions document be on file for your firm.
