Actian Zen v14 Pricing

The END OF SALES for Actian Zen v14 was March 30, 2025. Actian refuses to make new licenses available for discontinued products, so we are limited to stock on hand for these items, and they are available until sold ONLY. See the line at the top of the page for the last stock update, and if it is fairly old, it may be worth calling to check stock.

This page shows pricing for the Actian Zen v14 product line (formerly known as Actian PSQL) from Actian Corporation (formerly Pervasive Software). The current version of this product is v14.20, but licenses purchased for Zen v14 will work across any release, including future service packs.

Actian Zen v14 Workgroup Engine New Purchases (LIMITED STOCK)

These licenses are for 32-bit Workgroup Engine purchases, from stand-alone 1-user systems up to a MAXIMUM of 5 concurrent users in the database. Note that if you have an existing 1U or 3U base license, then you can purchase additional 1U and 2U User Count Increase (UCI) licenses to add users, but not exceed the maximum of 5 concurrent users.

Actian Zen v14 Enterprise Server Base Licenses (LIMITED STOCK)

These licenses are for new Zen v14 Server engine purchases for any platform (Windows, Mac, Linux). These base licenses can be combined with User Count Increase licenses (below) to make other user count combinations. Officially supported operating systems include Windows 7 (and newer), and Windows Server 2008 R2 (and newer).

Actian Zen v14 Enterprise Server User Count Increase Licenses (LIMITED STOCK)

The base Zen v14 (above) licenses are NOT stackable. To increase your user count, you must purchase additional "User Count Increase" (UCI) licenses to add to your base license to make larger (non-standard) user counts. This means that if you wish to obtain a 26 user license, you would purchase a 20U "Base" license and a 6U UCI for the server.

Actian Zen v14 Enterprise Server Upgrades From PSQL v13 (LIMITED STOCK ONLY)

These upgrades are valid for all users of Actian PSQL v13 database engines. Proof of ownership is required to obtain the upgrade price, and only BASE licenses can be upgraded (Not UCI's). You can upgrade to the SAME user count or to the NEXT USER COUNT HIGHER. The original product must be removed and destroyed.

Actian Zen v14 Enterprise Server Upgrades From PSQL v12 or Older (LIMITED STOCK ONLY)

Actian offering a special upgrade promotion from PSQL v12, but we cannot get any more, and quantities will be strictly limited to that which we have on hand. Once these run out, users of PSQL v12 or older will need to purchase NEW Zen v14 licenses or upgrade to PSQL v13 first, depending on which option is less expensive.

Actian Zen Cloud Server 14 Data Size Increases (LIMITED STOCK)

Actian Zen Cloud Server (formerly Zen Vx Server) 14 base licenses come with a set data size allowance. To increase your Data Size, you can either purchase an upgrade to a larger size, or you can purchase additional "Data Size Increase" (DSI) licenses to add to your "base" license to use larger databases. If you only need a data size increase for a short time (until you can purge or archive data), then you may benefit from a temporary (60-day) increase instead. Confused? Shipping and Taxes

Actian stopped production of the Media Kits, so all licenses are now delivered as electronic downloads only. If you prefer a paper copy, please request a copy of the license document and label when ordering. Sales taxes will be charged for all IL and IN destinations, unless a proper tax exemption form is provided. All other destinations will be responsible for self-assessing sales taxes where applicable.

Pre-Paid: Contact Goldstar Software to determine the exact amount of the order. Mail your payment (Check payable to Goldstar Software Inc.) to our address (as shown on the Contact page) with the original quote or a written copy of your order. Please be sure to include all information, including version, platform, user count, and shipping method, where applicable. When we receive the payment, we will process the order and ship the software to you with a PAID invoice.
Purchase Order: To accept your company purchase order, we must have an open customer account set up. Please download the required forms and fill in the information requested. Then, you can mail or fax your forms with your P.O. directly to 928-833-3632. When your account is approved and created, the software will ship via the requested method. Credit Card: We can accept bank transfers or credit card payments, including Mastercard, Visa, Discover Card and American Express. To best protect your privacy, credit card orders are taken as web storefront or phone orders only, so contact us to place your order.
